BURNS HUNTING CLUB

The Burns Hunting Club opened in 1988 and every year since has been one of the top three goose harvest clubs in the Southern Illinois quota zone. Burns holds the all time commercial club harvest record for CANADA GEESE in the state of Illinois, with a total of 2,724 Canada geese taken in the 93-94 season (51 day season).

TRAIL OF TEARS STATE FOREST

Squirrels, deer, turkey and raccoon are common game species at Trail of Tears State Forest. Hunters must report their harvest at registration boxes (provided at access points). Please observe all state and federal regulations when hunting the forest.

Cedar lake

Archery deer hunting is the only hunting allowed at Cedar lake, but it’s not permitted during the two shotgun seasons.

Statewide regulations govern hunting at the site. Species available are deer, turkey, squirrel, quail, rabbit, dove and waterfowl. 

Horseshoe lake

Horseshoe Lake is an oxbow lake in Alexander County, Illinois. It is the site of Illinois’s Horseshoe Lake State Fish and Wildlife Area, a state park 10645acre in size. A remnant of a large meander of the Mississippi River, it is today a shallow, isolated patch of water located near Cairo and the southern tip of Illinois.

Sahara Woods encompasses approximately 4,100 acres.  The area was a former surface mine which consists of spoil ridges interspersed with timber, grasslands, small ponds and a large lake. Total Acres: 4,100; Lakes, Ponds, Wetlands: 275; Open, Non-cultivated: 2,300; Timber, Brushy Areas: 1,500. Available Species: Archery Deer; Dove; Quail; Pheasant; Rabbit; Squirrel; Turkey; Furbearers

Round Pond Lodging is a hunting and lodging operation located in Southern Illinois. We offer a variety of hunts throughout the year as well as lodging.

Cedar ridge lodging and outfitters

Our farm is a private hunting preserve. It consists of mature timber, pine and cedar thickets, thick draws, cornfields and open areas of food plots. All natural habitat for the whitetail deer. cypress creek national wildlife refuge

 Hunting is permitted only in designated areas shown on the map. Pits/permanent blinds are not permitted on the refuge. Only portable blinds or structures constructed of artificial camouflage are permitted for waterfowl hunting.

Upland game bird hunting at its best! Excellent quail and pheasant hunting on over 500 acres of corn, wheat, grass and various Southern Illinois habitats. Located 3 miles West of Junction 37 & 169 or 4 miles East of Interstate 57 (Exit 18) just off Shawnee College Road.

We provide a professional hunting and outfitting service with experienced guides ready to give you their all. We offer guided hunts as well as drop camps and a pack service for experienced hunters who want to go on their own. We are the only outfitter within Southern Illinois that is licensed by the Forest Service and provides hunts in wilderness areas.

Hunters will appreciate the 1,750 acres of forested habitat, with good populations of deer and squirrel. Quail and rabbit populations are fair. Food patches are planted in open areas annually to enhance habitat for upland game species. Hunters must check in at the hunter check station (maintenance building) prior to hunting.

Hunting is permitted for squirrel, woodcock, dove, deer (archery only) and rabbit in some parts of the park. Contact the park office for site-specific hunting regulations. For more information please review the Hunter Fact Sheet. A site hunting area map is available.

Eastern

saline county conservation area

Saline County State Fish & Wildlife Area is a combination of bottomland bordering the Saline River and hilly land bordering the Shawnee National Forest. The rugged, rocky hills are heavily timbered and surrounded by brushy areas that provide cover for quail and rabbits. Waterfowl also use the bottomland areas when the streams overflow and water is available. Several wood ducks nest on the river, slough and lake

illinois ohio valley trophy hunts

Illinois Ohio Valley Trophy Hunts is located in Pope County known as the Deer Capital of Illinois. 4,000 + acres of private land is scouted thoroughly throughout the year to maximize your chances for a successful whitetail deer hunt. We have up to 300 Lock-on and Ladder Stands ready for deer hunts. Only Bucks scoring 130 inches and larger may be taken which allows for optimal maturation of Bucks.

All around outfitters, llc

All Around Outfitters LLC was formed in 2007.  Our goal is to provide you with a fully guided professional hunt.  We have 2 hunters per guide. You will be taken to your stand by your guide and he will pick you up at the end of your hunt.  When you take a doe or a buck we will help you recover it and take care of any “trophy needs” as well as field dressing.
