The presentation, “Play That Hot Fiddle: Old Time Radio, Rural Music, and the Life of Southern
Illinois Swing Fiddler ‘Pappy’ Wade Ray”, will take place on Monday, May 8th at the Stinson Memorial
Public Library in Anna, IL. Presenter Dennis Stroughmatt will perform live the music of Wade Ray on
the fiddle, and will share the history of Old Time Radio and present a live video of Ray himself, as well
as memorabilia from the Wade Ray collection.
“Play That Hot Fiddle” will take place May 8th at the Stinson Memorial Public Library at 409 S. Main
St. in Anna, IL. The event starts at 3pm, and will be about an hour long including a Q&A session at the
end. The event is free and open to all ages, and will take place in the downstairs auditorium. For more
