Murphysboro St. Patrick’s Celebration

St. Patrick’s 5K Walk/Run
Check-in will be from 7:30-8:30am at Brews Brothers Taproom, 1105 Chestnut Street. Pre-registration fee is $20 ($10 for River-to-River Runners), and $15 for runners under 12 or over 60 years of age. Pre-registration deadline is Friday, March 1st. Fee after March 1st is an additional $5.
☘9am- Murphysboro Irish Stew Cookoff
Compete in either the on-site or crock-pot contest, both taking place at Brews Brothers Taproom, for cash prizes. Registration forms are available at the chamber office and Brews Brothers. See separate event for more details.
☘10am- Downtown Merchants and Unique Shops open for business
Take a stroll down Walnut Street and beyond, and visit Murphysboro’s many specialty and antique shops.
☘10am-4pm- Corned Beef & Cabbage from Pat’s BBQ
Corned beef and cabbage (and pulled pork sandwiches) will be available for sale from Pat’s BBQ and Catering, who will be set up on Chestnut St. outside Brews Brothers Taproom.
☘11am- St. Patrick’s Celebration Parade
Bring the kids downtown to see the St. Patrick’s Parade. Starting with the antique tractors, the parade will travel west on Walnut Street from 7th Street to 19th Street.

☘11:30am-1:30pm- Irish Kids’ Festival
After the parade, 1st through 6th graders can come down to the Murphysboro Youth & Recreation Center for the Irish Kids’ Festival. Kids will be able to enjoy arts, crafts, games, and storytelling. No fee is required, and refreshments will be for sale.
☘12:00noon-4pm- Shamrock Craft Beer, Wine, & Spirits Tasting
Sláinte! 🍻 Explore new flavors at the Shamrock Craft Beer & Spirits tasting. Your ticket includes tastings from local and regional breweries, wineries, and distilleries, a free mood cup from Brews Brothers, and a food voucher from Pat’s BBQ. Advance tickets are available for $25 at Brews Brothers or the Chamber office, or available at the door for $30.
12:00noon-4pm- Live Music from Blackberry Blossoms Band
Enjoy live celtic music from Blackberry Blossoms Band, right on Chestnut Street during the Shamrock Craft Beer & Spirits tasting.
2pm- Lucky Toss Bags Tournament
Brews Brothers Taproom will host a bags tournament at 2pm at the cost of $20 per 2-person team. Prize money, which includes all entry fees, will be awarded to first and second place.
Sunday ☘12noon- Leprechaun Classic Bocce Tournament
4 person teams will compete on Sunday afternoon at the J. R. Hall Kiwanis Family Bocce Park. Entry fee is $60 per team. A max of 12 teams will be registered.
